Project Reflection:
During this project, we took a look at Joseph Campbell's idea of a “Hero's journey”. His theory stated that all stories revolve around on plotline. We were introduced to the shadows and archetypes along with the rights of passage that a hero encounters during his/her journey. We read The Alchemist and Siddhartha to connect any themes and detail that follows a Hero’s Journey. For our final product we took our own experiences and used the proper practice/refinement that any storyteller would. We presented these stories to peers and fellow community members.
Throughout this project I believe I grew more confidence mentally. I am not the strongest speaker in most situations. After, using PVLEGS I feel more confident and less pressure when speaking. My biggest trouble I am currently faxing is that I feel lots of pressure when I speak and the results are nothing I don't speak. After this project I more confident The understanding I will take away from this project is what makes people hero's. It has nothing to do with physical appearance, it’s more who you are mentally and spiritually. A hero and be your average Joe it isn't always have to be Superman to save the day. Another lesson/ takeaway is PVLEGS. In any future public speaking rises to the occasion it is handy method to use when preparing and speaking. So, people will think you are confident oppose to being a nervous mess. |
